Gremio Kit: pick your trade and the website is already built

What it does, in one line

You pick one of the eight trades the theme covers —plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, locksmithing, heating and air conditioning, renovation, painting and decorating, and carpentry— and the plugin does the boring part. Then it steps aside: the website is yours and you edit it like any other.

• It builds the home page with the design of that trade, taken from the theme's own patterns.
• It creates the five inner pages the theme menu points to: Services, Who comes, Reviews, Area and Contact.
• It builds a normal WordPress menu linking to them, with the labels written in the language of your site (not the language of your admin panel). It is yours: rename it, reorder it or delete it whenever you like.
• It drops the quote form in, inside the contact piece, where the theme leaves an empty box on purpose.
• It makes that page your home page (Settings → Reading) and moves the previous home page to the trash. To the trash, not into the void: you can get it back from Pages → Trash.
• It notes down everything it created, so a single Undo button takes it away again. A page or a menu the plugin did not create is never touched.

What is inside

A panel of its own, split by function, plus two things the theme does not bring on its own.

The quote form

• Name, phone, trade, message and a consent box with a link to your privacy policy.
• It posts to the page itself and back: no JavaScript needed and no service from outside.
• Simple anti-spam (a hidden field and a minimum time on the page), and everything is cleaned and escaped.
• From the panel you decide where requests are sent, the subject of the email, the thank-you message, the privacy policy link and the contact details shown next to the form (phone, phone you can tap, email, work area and opening hours).

The requests

• Every request is saved on your website as a private entry before the email goes out: if the email fails, nothing is lost.
• The Requests screen lists them all, with the answered tick you set as you deal with them, and a count of the ones still pending.
• They never show on the site and nobody can reach them from outside.

The WhatsApp button

• A plain link to wa.me with the message you write. Nothing is called until someone taps it: zero requests to third parties.
• You choose whether it shows on phones, on computers, or on both. Leave the number empty and the button is not shown.

And the panel, by function

• Five screens under one Gremio Kit menu: Trades, Quote form, WhatsApp, Requests and Help.
• Notices and screens use WordPress' own styling: no frameworks, and no requests to the internet from the dashboard.

What it looks like

Screenshots of the plugin at work, taken in a real WordPress. The admin panel is in Spanish because that is the language of the test administrator; the text the plugin writes on the site comes out in the language of the site.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.5 or later.
• PHP 8.1 or later.
• The Gremio theme active (free, download it here). That is where the designs come from.
• Licence: GPL v2 or later. Free, with no hidden paid version and no account to create.
• Languages: the plugin brings English (the source) and Spanish. If your site is in another language, the pages and the menu come out in English until a translation arrives.
