Andamio Kit: the property listings, with filters and a visit form

The companion plugin of the Andamio theme. It adds what a theme cannot: the properties themselves. Price, floor area, bedrooms, bathrooms, energy rating and photo gallery, inside a live grid with filters and a property page with a visit form.

What it does, in one line

The Andamio theme brings the design and a listings page; the plugin brings the part a theme cannot: the properties, with their data and their photos. You fill them in from your WordPress and the site fills itself: the grid, the property pages and the visit requests.

It creates the “Property” post type with its fields: reference, price, previous price, floor area and usable area, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor, year, service charge, lift, furnished, garage, storage room, orientation, views, energy rating (A to G), status (available, reserved, sold) and address.
Three ways to organise them: operation (for sale, for rent, for transfer), area (the neighbourhood) and type (flat, house, commercial space…).
A photo gallery per property, which you reorder by dragging. The first one is the one that shows in the grid.
The live grid ([andamio_kit_inmuebles]): with filters by operation, area, type, bedrooms and price, and sorting by newest, cheapest or most expensive. No JavaScript: the filters are a normal form, so a search can be shared as a link.
The property page: the gallery, the details table, the energy rating, where it is, the phone and WhatsApp buttons, and the visit form.
Visit requests are saved in your dashboard and emailed to you, with the mark for answered ones and the number still waiting.
The floating WhatsApp button and WhatsApp links with the property details already written in the message.
Set up the site: one button creates the five pages the theme menu points to (Properties, Services, About us, Reviews and Contact), each one with its piece of the theme inside, and leaves the menu ready, with the labels in the language of your site. It can be undone from the same screen.

What is inside it

A dashboard of its own, split by jobs, and the two things that make the site look like a real estate agency: the grid that fills itself and the page that collects visits.

The notices and the screens use WordPress' own style: no frameworks and no requests to the internet from your dashboard.

The visit form

Name, email, phone, when it would suit you to see it and a consent box with a link to your privacy policy (it is not sent without ticking it).
It posts to the page itself and comes back: no JavaScript needed and no outside service.
Every request is saved on your site before the email is sent: if the email fails, nothing is lost. And everything that comes in is cleaned and escaped.

The settings

Your phone, your WhatsApp number, where the visit requests should go and the WhatsApp message (which takes {titulo}, {referencia} and {precio}).
The columns of the grid: 2, 3 or 4.
And the embedded map switch, off by default: an embedded map makes the page ask an outside service for data. With the map off, the page shows the address and a button that opens the map in a new tab.

It needs the Andamio theme, and it says so instead of breaking anything.

Andamio Kit brings no designs of its own: the pages it sets up are built with the pieces of the Andamio theme. With another theme it creates no pages, no menu and nothing at all; instead it tells you, in one line, that the theme is missing, and it touches nothing on your site. If the theme comes back, the plugin comes back by itself. Your properties and their pages are never lost, not by deactivating the theme and not by uninstalling the plugin.

Requirements

WordPress 6.5 or later.
PHP 8.1 or later.
The Andamio theme active (free, download it here). That is where the pieces of the pages come from.
Licence: GPL v2 or later. Free, with no hidden paid version and no account to create.
Languages: the plugin is written in English (its native language) and is also translated into Spanish and French: three languages. If your WordPress is in English, you get it in your own language too. If your site is in another language, the pages and the menu come out in English until there is a translation.
