FWP Carta: the restaurant menu, without a PDF and without depending on anyone

What it does, in one sentence

It turns the menu into editable WordPress content and publishes what the law requires you to declare, without laying out a PDF every time a price changes.

The dish as content: name, description, price, photo, section and order. No more text block with the menu pasted in and a PDF to rebuild every season.
The fourteen allergens, one by one: what the dish contains and, separately, what the kitchen can remove. The menu shows the number; the sheet shows the full table.
Diets: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and lactose free, with their label on the menu and a legend at the bottom.
The allergen sheet: dishes by allergen, a «show only dishes without…» filter, a print button and the last-updated date in sight. It is the document the floor consults and the counter prints.
The QR code: generated by the plugin on the server and delivered as SVG, so it prints sharp at any size and does not depend on an external website that one day stops working.
Structured data: Menu, MenuSection and MenuItem with price and diets, so a search engine understands the menu. Almost no restaurant has it.
HTML, not PDF: it reads on a phone without zooming, it is indexed, it prints on A4 and it works with a screen reader. A PDF does none of those four.

What is inside

Four pieces and no decoration: the dishes, the menu, the sheet and the code.

The dishes

The dishes screen: photo, section, price, diets, allergen count and status for every dish, with search and a section filter. Whatever is missing —price, photo, allergens— shows up at a glance on the overview.
The dish on a single screen: diets as pills, price, order and the fourteen-allergen table with its «can be removed» column.
Sections are created and ordered from the dashboard, and the menu respects that order.
A «sold out today» checkbox: the dish shows crossed out on the menu and clears the next day with the same click.

The menu

The [faro_carta] shortcode prints it in one, two or three columns, on any page or post.
Dotted leaders, aligned price, diet labels next to the name and allergen numbers underneath.
A legend of diets and of the fourteen allergens at the end, so the number on the menu has somewhere to be read.

The allergen sheet

The [faro_alergenos] shortcode: a table with dishes in rows and the fourteen allergens in columns, with ✓ for what it contains and ✓* for what can be removed.
A filter in the address (?alergeno=gluten) to show only the dishes without that allergen.
Printing ready for A4: a header with the restaurant name, rows that do not split across pages and the last-updated date.

The QR code and the structured data

[faro_qr url="/carta/"] prints the code as SVG, with its caption. A relative path is turned into a full address: a QR with half a URL opens on no phone.
And from the dashboard itself: pick the menu page from a list, check that the page really shows the menu and download it as SVG or PNG. The plugin writes the PNG itself, with no image library.
The menu is declared once: if the theme already declares it, the plugin stays quiet and does not duplicate the data.
