Faro Enlaces: finds what is broken without hammering the site to look for it

Checks the links in your content in small, resumable batches, calls broken only the real 404, logs the 404s your visitors hit and replaces URLs in bulk with undo. No account, no cloud and nothing asked of the visitor's browser.

What it does, in one sentence

Checks the links of your site without punishing the server, tells apart what is broken from what simply refuses to be checked, and keeps the visits lost to a 404.

Small, resumable batches: ten links every five minutes through WP-Cron, with a twenty-second cap per run and a lock so two runs never overlap. A site with three hundred links is checked in under three hours and nobody notices.
Only calls broken what is broken: 404 and 410. A 403 (bot wall), a 429 (rate limit), a 5xx or a timeout stay as “to review” after the retries, so you never chase a link that works in a browser. That is the number one complaint about link checkers.
Internal links are resolved at home: if the URL belongs to your site, the page is looked up in the database first and, if it is not there, the site is asked through a local loopback. No false alarms when the site sits behind Cloudflare or cannot reach itself.
The 404s that eat your visitors: one row per path, with how many times it was asked for, the last time and where the visitor came from. No IP address, no cookies and nothing sent outside. With a configurable retention and a five-minute brake per path so a crawler cannot write a thousand rows.
The history of every run: each batch leaves a snapshot of the counts and the panel draws the line, so you can see whether the work of fixing links is showing.
Fix in bulk, with undo: paste the old URL and the new one, the plugin replaces it in every page and keeps the previous text of each one. The undo button gives back the exact content.
Ignore what you do not care about: one link, or any URL containing a piece of text (for instance /wp-content/uploads/, linkedin.com or ?replytocom=).
One email a day, and only when there is something new: a digest with the broken links found, never one per link.
A warning when WP-Cron falls behind: if a run is due and has not happened, the panel says so and offers to run it by hand.

What it does not do, said before you install it.

It does not redirect: it finds and fixes. If you want redirects, Redirection does that job well and both live together. It does not check links behind a password. It cannot know whether the page on the other side still says what you expected: it says whether it answers, not whether it is right. And it does not replace Search Console, which sees the links pointing at your site from outside.
